New to HSBC
Thank you for your interest in
Holly Springs Baptist Church. Wherever you are in life’s journey, you will find
a home and a friend at Holly Springs. This page will help answer some of the
questions you may have and give you an idea of what you can expect when you
visit us in person. If you have any additional questions or would like to speak
to someone please contact us here. We are excited about meeting you
and look forward to seeing and serving you soon!
What can I expect?
Our worship services offer an
inviting atmosphere where you will be welcomed with open arms. We’ll join
together singing songs of praise, traditional hymns, contemporary choruses and
more. There will be a time of prayer and a time of greeting one another (no,
you won’t be singled out). We’ll also worship through the receiving of
offerings and through the teaching of our Pastor as he proclaims the Word of
God.
What Bible do you use?
Our pastor
currently uses the New King James. However, the most important
translation is the one you use. If you have questions about the accuracy
of a translation, please feel free to talk with our pastor.
What about my children?
During the sermon portion of the morning worship service, a Children’s Church is provided for children ages 4 through 1st grade. Children’s Church is a fun filled time of music, Bible stories, Christ-centered activities and a snack.
There are also age group ministries, children-youth, (LINK) on Sunday night that meet during the same time the adults are in worship service.
A Nursery, for those birth-age 3, is located on the first
floor.
Will I be asked to speak or be singled out?
Our desire is for our guests to
have a great experience at Holly Springs. We will not ask you to do anything
that will make you feel uncomfortable. You will not be asked to say anything or
introduce yourself during the service, nor will we ask you to stand alone
during the service. We will welcome you as our guest by having everyone stand
and greet one another during the service.
What should I wear?
At Holly Springs we are more
concerned with the condition of your soul than the condition of your wardrobe.
Every service we have people dressed in a wide range of clothing from jeans and
t-shirts to business suits and dresses; and everything in between. Wear what
you’re comfortable wearing.
Will you pray for me?
We certainly will. Holly Springs
has a vibrant prayer ministry and many prayer warriors who would love to pray
for your needs! Meetings specifically devoted to prayer occur each week on
Wednesday afternoon and evening. Please see our [Schedule] for times. If you
have an urgent prayer request you may contact us here. We will be happy to
pray for you.
Will I have an opportunity to meet the Pastor?
Our pastor would love to meet
you. He is always available following our worship services and other gatherings
at the church. In addition, he can be reached here.
As our guest you are welcome to
give, but not expected to give an offering. The giving of Tithes and Offerings
is an act of worship and members are encouraged to give in order to support the
work and ministries of the church.
What if I need more information?
Each Sunday morning our Staff,
Deacons, Guest Services team members and others are on hand to talk with you
and answer your questions. You may also contact the church office if you desire
to speak with someone. We welcome your calls or emails. Click here for
contact information.
